He’s still the most popular presenter on radio, and I’m sure many people fully expected him to do an Alan Keith and continue presenting on Radio 2 until he drops.

However, Alan Keith wasn’t on the breakfast show, nor was he on the radio every single weekday. The stress of getting up at 4am every morning would probably kill Terry off before his time, and I’m sure nobody would want that.

I’m pretty sure they can’t get it in North Korea – they’ve asked to be a part of the Eurovision song contest every single year since 1982 but have been turned down every time. They get their hopes up so much – it would be too painful for them to watch it on TV so they don’t get it.

BRITAIN CANT SURVIVE ON THEIR OWN COMPLETELY, BECAUSE ITS NOT LIKE THE OLD DAYS WHEN BRITAIN HAD HOLD OF INDIA, CHINA, PARTS OF AFRICA etc…! THEY HAVE PULLED OUT AND ARE NOW SURVIVING WITH HELP OF THE EU!!! (but not entirely) like it or lump it, we cant isolate ourselves. it will not be the best option. need allies, need benefits, need friends, and sometimes have to scratch each others backs. its no big deal we are still surviving.

People get so hysterical on this subject. To deal with the last part first. Britain is a NET CONTRIBUTOR to the EU, which means it costs us money, and lots of it. Now the, does Britain need immigrants ? Well, yes and no. One of the problems in this country is the state education system is so appalling. In countries like Malaysia kids are 2 years ahead of ours in maths by age 16. Therefore the education system must be overhauled so kids learn the skills they need, not a lot of PC tosh. Then they will be able to take their place in the labour market rather than subsisting on crap benefits in a stunted life of poverty, or maybe you think that’s what British kids deserve for a future. Immigration should then only be allowed to fill any gaps left in the labour market, and with proper treatment of the indigenous population those should be precious few. It is ridiculous that with millions out of work a country should still have immigration, In Malaysia now they are kicking out all the Indonesians and Philippines people so that the Malays can have what jobs there are, and quite rightly so. To answer the political part of your question, Britain will not be isolated in Europe through the BNP entering EU parliament. Europe has a fine tradition of Right wing politics. You have the National Front in France, the Northern League in Italy, and far right parties in Hungary, Holland ( very successful ) Belgium, Austria etc etc.

I’m hoping to get together with some friends to watch Eurovision 2007 with them. We got together to watch this year’s, and I’ve seen 2008 twice, and whilst it was a good year, I’d prefer to watch a year I haven’t seen yet. If anyone knows of either a streaming video or a downloadable video, that’d be great. I’m not concerned about the semi-final, but if that’s available, that’d be cool, too.
