What Interview Questions Should You Prepare For?

There are three primary questions that any interviewer wants to know – especially an interview panel that is attempting to select which doctor to employ into their hospital.

If you are going for an NHS Consultant Interview, then you need to reveal the answers to the questions:

1. Can You Do The Job? – Are you qualified and competent?

2. Will You Do The Job? – What is your level of drive like?

3. Will You Fit In? – Are you a team player or do you just look out for yourself?

If you can show them the answers, rather than just tell them by developing a bank of questions through which you can sell yourself, then you will begin to start producing the kind of answers that will get you the medical post.

Can Aromatherapy be learned by correspondence?

Posted on February 16th, 2010 by admin in Careers | No Comments »

Aromatherapy is a holistic massage therapy form that uses natural oils with flowers, herbs etc mixed in to bring about the desired healing effect. It is principally the oils that are most important bit but often massage of a general form is also used to heighten its effect. Because the oil is the primary benefit, it does lend itself to being learnt by correspondence because it is just acquiring knowledge. The only drawback is if you need educating in general massage techniques because you will miss something in the lack of hands on instruction. It is common though for the massage therapy student to already have a qualification from other massage therapy courses and already has grounding in the basic techniques.

Training in Massage? – Where could you work?

It is a necessary question to ask; where could I work at the end of my therapeutic massage courses. What are the possible avenues of employment at the end? Well the possibilities are pretty infinite and I would think it difficult to not find a job at the end of your course. You might be self employed and work at home or visit clients’ homes, you could work at clinics (e.g. chiropractic/physiotherapy clinics, sports injury clinics, hospitals), massage therapists are needed in hotels, on cruise ships, some massage therapists go to companies and work on the management team to relieve their stress when they don’t have time to go out of their offices. As you can see, there is plenty of potential and this is only scratching the surface.

Instead of locking yourself up in your cage of fears and crying over past heartaches, embarrassment and failures, treat them as your teachers and they will become your tools in both self improvement and success.

I remember watching Patch Adams – its my favorite movie, actually. Its one great film that will help you improve yourself. Hunter “patch” Adams is a medical student who failed to make it through the board exams. After months of suffering in melancholy, depression and suicidal attempts – he decided to seek for medical attention and voluntarily admitted himself in a psychiatric ward. His months of stay in the hospital led him to meeting different kinds of people. Sick people in that matter. He met a catatonic, a mentally retarded, a schizophrenic and so on. Patch found ways of treating his own ailment and finally realized he has to get back on track. He woke up one morning realizing that after all the failure and pains he has gone through, he still want to become the a doctor. He carries with himself a positive attitude that brought him self improvement and success. He didn’t only improved himself, but also the life of the people around him and the quality of life. Did he succeed? Needless to say, he became the best damn doctor his country has ever known.

So, when does self improvement become synonymous with success? Where do we start? Take these tips…
