Do you think that Ireland should have qualified for the eurovision final last night?
I’m Irish and I think that they definitely deserved to.I think that they need to change the voting system because all the countries that qualified are fairly close to each other and Ireland is totally isolated in the middle of the Atlantic.

Since everyone knows that Eurovision voting is a total fix & farce, isn’t it time this joke was laid to rest?
The UK is one of the five countries guarenteed entry to finals because they invented the competition and are STILL the ones who fund it.. would be a bit like asking a country to host the Olympics but tell them their athletes won’t be alowed to participate..

Does bloc-voting predetermines who wins the Eurovision song contest?
I’ve read that bloc-voting is a big factor in the Eurovision. Listening to past winners it seems that music quality alone is not the only or even the major factor. So is Eurovision just about politics?
Definitely bloc-voting is a big factor but NOT enough to determine the winner,of course music plays role but quality not necessary(Ukraine 2007).what i want to Say is that maybe bloc voting offers a good place to a country but never the 1st place.for a country to manage the victory points from almost all the countries are needed,no eastern country can win with only eastern votes or western with the support from west only…
it’s easy to understand this just by looking the winner every year,Finland came first because the song liked to Europe but this year didn’t so it didn’t get enough votes.
Why do we get barely any points from eastern europe in eurovision?
I don’t see why we don’t. Is it some eastern europe club that only get to win these days? They say "the british songs just aren’t that good" well i’m not convinced. Please vote for us this year eastern europe. I mean have of you are living here.

People blame political voting for the British entries doing so badly in Eurovision, but honestly our representatives have dreadful for years.

The judges votes were added to the public vote to create an overall score…which is what is on the television now.
